Sunday brunching

We had a fantastic brunch at The Bristol this morning with Ali and Eddie. After ordering a bloody mary, Rob said he never drinks on Sundays. He then qualified that by saying, "Except when the Giants are on."

This is the picture Ali took of Rob's "I don't drink on Sundays" face. And the Giants are on tv today. Hee.

New York Giants

In case any of you have lost track of time, I wanted to remind you that the NY Football Giants will be playing their first game of the 2009 season this Sunday.

Sex and the City

On the one hand, I enjoyed the movie.

On the other hand, this is exactly how depressed I was after seeing the movie.

I'm not sure I want to see another movie because, sheesh, I really liked how the show ended. And I'm currently pretending that's how everything still is.

Bipartisanship?

I wonder if we're at the point where the only hope for bipartisanship is for one party (or, ahem, President) to be so ridiculously awesomely successful while going alone that the other party is left with no alternative to coming to the table.

Of course, that'd require a lot of political courage at the starting line. And maybe even a big agenda item that the public massively supports but that the other party doesn't.

Hmmm.
